Another great story to add to my list

I just read "The Arrival" by Shaun Tan. It's a beautiful graphic novel about the immigrant experience. It really captures the journey and the adjustment, from figuring out new kinds of food to finding a job. The images are a mix of past and present and fantasy, but the emotions and experiences are relevant to today's immigrants. Just beautiful.

I love this book too. It was introduced to me by one of my art students since I was the sole Asian face on staff in a small town high school. How sweet!

How lovely Sandra! I'm hoping we can read this book along with Polite Lies this semester.
